1997-2008 L67/L32 3800 SC Basic Upgrades

  • Spark Plugs – Autolite® 605 spark plugs (one heat range colder than stock) We recommend reducing the spark plug gap to .055″
  • Plug Wires – ACDelco 9746BB Professional Spark Plug Wire Set
  • Air Filter – K&N Drop in Air Filter. Use the factory Air box which already introduces fresh air from outside the engine bay. Choose the proper one for your vehicle make, model and year.
  • Belts – We recommend Gates or Goodyear Gaterback Belts which can be purchased from Napa or other local retailers.
  • Engine Oil – Synthetic oil, Mobile One is preferred as an entry level upgrade as it is an exceptionally clean oil with minimum buildup. AmsOil Signature and Royal Purple are top recommendations.
  • Oil Filter – The factory oil filter is a bit small; you can use the ACDelco PF52 as an OEM upgrade or the WIX 51036 or the Napa gold, which is the same exact filter made by WIX, NAPA 1036
