YouTube has started to block ad blockers and popup blockers however there is still one that is working just fine, Ublock Origin. This addon works on all the popular browsers and has standalone installs for certain OSs. you can block YouTube's adblocker script with the right-click feature on Ublock and it won't come back unless youtube makes a new script and in that case, you just block it again.
Another one I use on YouTube is Enhancer for YouTube which lets you change many settings such as themes, playback, and several other settings.
